A guest list depends on a few factors, but most importantly the size of your venue. You don’t want to choose a venue that won’t comfortably hold all of your guests. So, while you don’t need an exact headcount, you’ll want a good idea of how many people plan to attend.  

After all, there’s a substantial difference between a venue that can lodge 50 guests and one that holds 250.

• Allow at least 4.5 square feet of space for each guest or 9 square feet for each couple.
